What are some things to know about cat care?
My family is trying to find a good pet- a cat, but we need to know more about caring for them.

first off , cats are real loveable to have around and fun. the main things they need is : litter box , water , wet and dry food… every month u could take it to get it ears and nails trimmed and cleaned. just give ur kitty lots and lots of love and they’ll do the rest by giving it right bck! goodluck

Most people brush their cats once they older, you’ll need to buy a litter box,( the cat will know how to go to the bathroom). if you are getting a kitten, you should watch after them so they don’t hurt themselves or no one steps on them.But, if you are getting a grown cat you won’t have to worry about that.Where ever you are getting the cat you should ask what’s the best cat food for that particular cat. and i think that’s pretty much it. very easy and adorable pets i have 1 kitten and 1 adolescence cat and the things you will need are the following:
~Litter box
~Litter
~food
~water&food bowls
~collar
~cat pan liners
~scooper
Those are basic essentials cats are very easy remove solid waste from their litter box daily and make sure they have fresh water available at all times.You can also get a scratching post so you don’t have to keep getting your cats nails trimmed.I would recommend spaying\neutering your lil kitty 2!good luck and have fun for many more years to come

Dry/Wet Cat food
Litter Tray (You need to clear out every day and completely clean every couple of days)
Cat litter
Carrier Case – for vet visits
Scratching post so your furniture is not scratched
Cat bed
Health Care
They need to be wormed and flea ed if they are outside. They also should be vaccinated against disease which require a vet visit each year.
Fun Time.
Invest is some cat toys to keep them stimulated
House Care
A really good vacuum cleaner to get the hair off everything
They really need allot of care you should think of getting two so they do not get lonely when you are out of the house. Kitten needs lots of attention so if you do not have allot of time you might consider young adult kitten. Every cat is different so different cats have different personalty needs.

Cats are wonderful pets! They’re loving and sweet. Plus it’s like having a full time floor show when you’ve got a kitten in your home. Be sure she/he has some toys … you can make some yourself. Just a piece of string or yarn with a fuzzy piece of fabric on the end will keep a kitty interested for a long time.
So far as care, they’re low maintenance. I saw someone say that they need wet and dry food. I’ve always just fed dry food to my cats. The vet told me the wet food will make them fat. (?) I took his word for it and it’s meow mix for Gracie! Vaccinations are yearly and that’s about it. Oh, either spay or neuter your pet, too. It’s the right thing to do!

Firstly, you need to know not to declaw, training is easier, cheaper and there are no horrid after effects.
You also need to know tha wet food is far healthier for your cat, and dry food has been linked to various illnesses like UTI, diabetes and more.

Realise that this animal will need the vet now and again, do not get a cat if you have no money for the vet.

Pet owners often believe that “accidents” are a result of behavioral issues. Although behavioral issues may cause unwanted surprises, going to the bathroom in inappropriate places may be caused by pain. Pets with sore joints or arthritis may not make it to a convenient location due to painful obstacles like tars.Hope this will help how to take care with
