ok my mom dose not like cats one bit but me and my dad would love another pet arond.I have shown my mom i can tack care of one but she still says no every time. oh and she is alos is alergic to them. help me get my kitten pleas !!!!!!
Your mother does not like cats and she has a cat allergy.
Explain why you feel your mother’s preferences and your mother’s health are less important than your desire for a cat.
if she’s allergic to them there’s not much you can do! But, this might help… Tell her short haired cats dont shed as much so the allergens wouldn’t be crazy in the air.
There are pills to take to get rid of allergy symptoms, and also you can get brushes and such to remove lose hair that could float around and give her symptoms. Tell her you’ll buy germX for her to keep her hands clean from things her and the cat have both touched (haha idk if that’ll work )
Always remind her you are ready to take care of it! Also it works to be more direct about it and in a joking manner instead of saying… “Mom oh please can we get another cat? Please?? I want it so bad!!!” Say something like this to make you sound more independent about it…”So mom, are you ready to get our new cat today? There are some pretty cute ones!” and dont even hng around for the answer… just keep on walking past her. Say it like a joke. Then after this for a couple says say something when she’s sitting down sit down with her and say “Look mom I am really serious. Dad and I want another cat and we’re ready to take care of it!” If she says no, accept it and dont say another word and walk away.
Since your mother is allergic to cats, that is a good reason for her not to get a cat. Although you might want a kitten really badly, think it over and talk with your mom about reasoning. She might be allergic to longhair cats, so talk about getting a short hair, or a hairless. Hope this helped!
Well that seems pretty unfair of you to want a cat when your mother is allergic, I say wait until you move out and then get one, until then pay some darn respect to your mom.
I strongly disagree with the idea that a shorthar will shed less and cause less allergies. How old are you anyway? Respect your mom’s wishes and health as allergies can cause much more serious health problems. Wait a few years till you can have one on your own terms, pay for its upkeep and look after it. That will show family sensitivity and maturity on your part.
Yeah cats are great to have and i love my cats but i wouldn’t have ever got a cat if my mum was allergic to them.
I don’t think it is fair to get a cat when your mums allergic.
Don’t no how bad your mum is but my friend had to be taken to hospital cos he looked after a cat for y other mate while he was away.
Within 2 days of having the cat he was rushed into hospital.
The doctor told my mate it is ok to go out and see a cat but when u are in a house with a cat all night it affects u.
My mate got really bad and was in hospital over a week!
If u have the time and your mum ain’t allergic why not get another animal. Unless your mum is allergic to most animals then i don’t no what to suggest.
I wouldn’t get a cat tho, with your poor mum

Until you are financially able and have your own place, especially with your mom being allergic to cats…her roof, her rules. Sorry.
