Baby mouse My Cat foud it I Need help how to take care of it?
I just found a baby mouse i need help to take care of it. my cat bite it but it is still living we put proxside of the wound .it is feeling better and it is moving. know i need to know how to take care of it its eyes is sometime open but mostley cloused what do i feed it?
somtimes it opens it mouth and makes a weard sound.
can they drink water?

Mice are not healthy to have around. They are vermin and need to be outside your home. Let the cat have the mouse for dinner.

it’s most probably just really scared!
peroxide isn’t so good for wounds, lightly salted water is far better.
it would be best if you just take it to a quiet place and let it go.
i know you have the best intentions, but wild mice don’t associate with humans, and the stress of all this inc your interactions will in reality do more harm than good.
stressed bodies don’t heal as well. if it is going to survive, it will do it better on it’s own, naturally!

eww mouses are unhealthy. you dont know what is on them if you want to have it around its your choice but take it to the vets

go to your local pet store and some normal hamster or gerbil food will do…
STAY AWAY FROM THE RABBIT FOOD THO!!
get a tank any will do and get some wood shaving bedding from the pet store as well….
if it lives mice actually make good pets…
i would not handle it too much tho…

I can understand your compassion for the cute little baby mouse. But my Dear girl, if it was in your home you may become infested and that isn’t cute. You will have to do something drastic if you have this problem. Mice are hardy and good escape artists. Be careful ! Hope all will be well.

hamster food, fruits, raisins, cerial, ect……Mice/rodents are good pets but if the rodent seems like it’s suffering..you might want to put it down if you know what I mean…but if you already done all that by taking care of it..do that everyday and check on it.. it might be ok then…hopefully cause no one wants a mousie to die =[[ but hope I helped & everything goes ok

Get an eyedropper and fill it with any type of Milk; cow’s milk; soy milk; evaporated milk
Put the eyedropper on the mouse’s mouth and tongue and feed the milk this way.
She should drink the milk from the eyedropper or even a very small spoon.
do this every few hours for a few days.
If she survives; buy sunflower seeds raw.
Put the mouse in a cardboard box.
If you can build a small wooden cage.
If survives you can train it to sit in your hand; after the ouse is bigger you can keep it or let it go…
If you let the mouse go; it has to be near
a field (do not let the mouse go until older).
a stream AND woods OR a barn to survive.

if you must keep it, go to the vet and get it checked out. make sure it doesnt have diseases. also, your local pet store has pet milk you can feed it (make sure it is the one that says orphaned mice/rats) because it is so young. and hamster/gerbil food or mice/rat food is fine- no other animal food though. people food is fine too. instead of peroxide, try neosporin (or another triple antibiotic) and a small gauze pad over the bite. that will help kill germs (cat bites are bad), and help the wound heal. dont use cedar in the cage/tank. I recommend a 10 gallon fish tank with a metal screen lid, paper bedding (carefresh) and a small water bottle. use a toilet paper tube for a hiding place. good luck.

Awww…
My cats found three baby mice..One they played with for awhile and I threw it outside because I didn’t want them to kill it or eat it. The second one I didn’t get to in time, they killed it. And the third, I found when I woke up this morning, they thought it would be a nice gift to leave it for me in the middle of the coffee table…If I were you, I would just throw the mouse outside, if it is to sick to live it will die and if it is ok it will run off and take care of itself. Do you really want to keep a rodent like that in your house?
