Teach A Cat

My cat just had one kitten and still has more to come but i think she stopped the labor process. and now she wont take care of her first kitten. what should i do?

I was looking into cat breeds and finally found the perfect one, an Ocicat. I love the breed and have done alot of research on it. Problem is im new to owning pets let alone a cat. I need to know how to go about getting one and cat care. Stuff like a litter box, a bed, food, and toys are among some of things I need to know about. As always all your help is greatly appreciated.

My 15 month old indoor-only cat escaped the other day and we haven’t seen her in about 3 days. She’s in heat right now, so I’m guessing she’ll come home pregnant and I want to be prepared to take care of her. So what should I know?
There were some rude responses there. I don’t believe in abortion at all and that applies to my cat as well! I will not murder a bunch of kittens for my own convenience. There is a reason she hasn’t been spayed yet. She wasn’t ours until a few weeks ago. The previous owners had neutered the male because he gets out a lot, but since he was fixed they saw no reason to spay Lucy. We’ve actually got an appointment for a week from tomorrow to get her fixed, but this happened first. I am not an irresponsible person and I am not the cause of unwanted kittens. Plus I’m living in Germany where there is much less of a problem with unwanted kitties and plenty of families for the babies to go to.

Animals aren’t euthanized in shelters here. Also pregnancy is more dangerous for cats under 1 year, but she is almost a year and a half. but the main point is: I will not murder my cats babies and there is NO UNWANTED CAT PROBLEM WHERE I LIVE. I wiiiiish people would read the whole thing.

When I take care a cat my eyes become watery, my nose become congested, my ears itchy. my throat itchy and hoarseness, i have cough and shortness of breath. my skin develop itchy rashes

I answered a ad on Craigslist to care for a ladies cat, she is in between houses, we went to pick her up because she has no car, so I felt bad, she provided food,litter,cat treats and stuff, and asked me how much does she owe me, I felt bad to even take money but she said ok heres 10 and you decide what to do with the 10, its between you and God, buy a homeless food or buy little kids ice cream?? She comes once a week to visit the cat, how much is reasonable? My husband keeps telling me I need to ask her for money, Please advice??

The plan is to trap the cat and her kittens using a humane trap and send them all to a foster care organization. Until we can find the kittens, what should I feed her and how much/how often? I’ve been giving her about 2 cups of cat chow and 1 can of cat food. Thanks for any advice!

My friend and I are planning to go to Seattle in August . We don’t know who we can ask to take care of my cat while we’re gone . What are some things other pet owners do with THEIR pets when they go on vacation ?

My family is trying to find a good pet- a cat, but we need to know more about caring for them.

I only work odd jobs, just barely enough to pay bills. I took in several stray cats when I had a better paying job, but now money is too tight to get medical help when needed. I lost a good friend this morning because I cannot find a vet I can affort. And I may lose another in the next few days. Does anyone know where I can find low cost vet so I can get them the care they need? I have always tried to be a “responsible” pet owner, but now I’m afraid I will lose my family, my friends, my cats because I can’t afford vet care. If anyone knows of a good solution, I will always be grateful because my heart is breaking.
